The Garde Art Center has two accessible locations where patrons can remain in their wheelchair on the orchestra level. Some orchestra aisle seats are equipped with removable armrests to aid in seating from a wheelchair. The balcony and loge seating areas are not wheelchair accessible. If you have any questions on accessibility for our concerts, please contact the ECSO or Garde Box Offices.
These chats are free and open to any patron with a ticket. An hour before any performance, sit anywhere you’d like and learn more about the concert you’re about to see at the free pre-concert talk with Music Director & Conductor Toshiyuki Shimada. These 30 minute chats usually feature the soloists or guest artists performing that concert for a Q&A. After the chat, you’ll have 30 minutes to freshen up, get that drink, or find your seat for the concert.
If you’re coming to a concert at the Garde Arts Center, there are several bars throughout the lobby area that offer wine, beer, coffee, and tea. No need to chug your drink like you’re in Animal House. Thanks to our partnership with the Garde, you are allowed to bring drinks to your seat!
We love when you take photos and share it with all your friends on social media. Make sure to tag us @ectsymphony. Please silence your cell phones or other electronic devices during the concert. Audience members may take photographs before and after the concert, as well as during intermission and applause. Please note, however, that photography or recording during the performance is prohibited.
Following the concerts, join us in the lobby for our Post-Concert Receptions where you can meet with Toshi, guest soloists, musicians, and fellow concert-goers. These receptions include complimentary desserts and champagne.
Whether performing at the Garde or elsewhere, you will always find ECSO staff near the information table to answer any questions or provide info you need on the performance or the season. Guest artists who join us at our post concert receptions sell and autograph merchandise at these tables. We love meeting new patrons! Stop by and say hello and tell us your thoughts on your concert experience.
