Leave A Legacy
Legacy Giving
Legacy giving that inspires and educates future generations of music lovers.
Naming the Eastern Connecticut Symphony in your estate plan is an impactful way to make a meaningful and lasting gift to the community.
The Legacy of Robert F. Shannon
In 2002, the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra received generous gifts from Mr. Shannon which laid the groundwork to ensure the Orchestra will perform for generations to come. Robert F. Shannon was Principal Timpanist of the Orchestra from 1961 to 1994. Robert served on the Board of Directors for close to 50 years as President, Vice President, and Treasurer, as well as chair of numerous committees.
Mr. Shannon’s commitment to the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra on and off stage is without parallel in our history.
