Mark E. Weaver

Year you joined the ECSO: 1999
ECSO trombonist Mark E. Weaver is a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, the Music Academy of the West, and the Stetson Summer Orchestral Music Institute.
During his 28 year tenure as principal trombonist of The United States Coast Guard Band, Weaver toured throughout the United States, and overseas to Russia, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Weaver was principal trombonist for the American Bandmasters Association, Inter-Service Band in 1992. His network appearances have been on NBC’s Today Show, the Cable News Network (CNN), and National Pubic Radio. Weaver performed with the band’s brass quintet at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall prior to his retirement from the CG Band in the fall of 2008.
Weaver substitutes with the New Haven and Hartford Symphonies, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic. He is a regular member of The Chorus of Westerly, Festival Orchestra.

Favorite musical memory:Attending a Proms concert by the Aurora Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, London, UK this past September 2019.
