Carla Parodi, oboe, attended the University of Michigan and received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Illinois in 1999. She earned a Master of Music degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas in 2003. She has studied with Harry Sargous, Nancy Ambrose King, John Ferrillo, and Robert Atherholt, and has performed with the New World Symphony, the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra, the Aspen Music Festival Orchestra, and the National Repertory Orchestra. Carla served as principal oboe in the United States Coast Guard Band from 2003-2015 and was appointed principal oboe of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony in 2014.
