Terrence B. Fay began studying trombone at the age of ten. He is an active soloist, performing as a soloist with the Wallingford Symphony, as well as in numerous recitals throughout the area. He is an active orchestral musician as assistant principal trombonist of the New Haven Symphony and principal trombonist of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, while also performing with such groups as the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Orchestra New England, Opera Theater of Connecticut, and the Ridgefield Waterbury, and New Britain Symphonies, among others. Mr. Fay has worked with such esteemed conductors as Kurt Masur, Sir Colin Davis, David Robertson, Robert Spano, Gunther Schuller, James DePriest, and Bobby Mcferrin.
Mr. Fay is also an accomplished vocalist, having sung professionally for well over a decade. He has been a soloist most recently with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, as well as the choirs of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stamford, Trinity Episcopal Church, Torrington, and the Marquand Chapel Choir at the Yale Divinity School. He has been a member of the choirs of Christ Church, New Haven, Trinity Episcopal Church, Torrington, St. John the Evangelist, Stamford, and the Grammy-award winning choir, Gaudeamus, while also performing frequently with MidAmerica Productions in New York City under the direction of John Rutter, among others. In 2011, he performed as a member of the Collegiate Chorale at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland in performances with Bryn Terfel and Barbara Frittoli, and the Bard Festival with the American Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Fay is currently a member of the Schola Cantorum of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Norwalk.
A native of Long Island, NY, Mr. Fay received his Bachelor of Music degree from The Juilliard School, where his principal teachers were Michael Powell and Joseph Alessi. He spent one of his undergraduate years at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where his teachers included Dudley Bright, Susan Addison, and Simon Gunton. While at the Academy, he received Commendation in the Drummond Sharpe Prize from Philip Jones CBE. He received his Master of Music degree with honors and Artist Diploma from the Yale School of Music, where he was the inaugural recipient of the John Swallow Prize, named for his principal teacher there.
Mr. Fay is currently on the faculty of the Neighborhood Music School, Choate Rosemary Hall, Southern Connecticut State University, and the Universities of Bridgeport and New Haven.

ECSO trombonist Mark E. Weaver is a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, the Music Academy of the West, and the Stetson Summer Orchestral Music Institute.
During his 28 year tenure as principal trombonist of The United States Coast Guard Band, Weaver toured throughout the United States, and overseas to Russia, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Weaver was principal trombonist for the American Bandmasters Association, Inter-Service Band in 1992. His network appearances have been on NBC’s Today Show, the Cable News Network (CNN), and National Pubic Radio. Weaver performed with the band’s brass quintet at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall prior to his retirement from the CG Band in the fall of 2008.
Weaver substitutes with the New Haven and Hartford Symphonies, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic. He is a regular member of The Chorus of Westerly, Festival Orchestra.
