Jordan Calixto

Jordan Calixto recently finished his two-year MM program at the Yale School of Music studying with Don Palma. In 2016, Jordan received his undergraduate degree at the Juilliard School studying double bass with Albert Laszlo. Jordan has attended the Aspen Music Festival under the Vincent Wilkinson scholarship in 2013, the National Orchestral Institute in 2015, the Atlantic Music Festival in 2015, the Orford Music Festival in 2016, Caroga Lake Music Festival and the National Arts Centre Young Artists Program run by violin virtuoso Pinchas Zukerman. Jordan currently plays with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony and substitutes with the New Haven Symphony.

Hidden talent(s):Avid soccer player and amatuer cook.

Favorite musical memory:Performing an all Shostakovich concert under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski at Juilliard.
