The opening program of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra’s 2024-25 season, its 15th under Music Director & Conductor Toshiyuki Shimada, spans two centuries and two continents. London-trained organist Simon Holt, Director of Salt Marsh Opera, will be the soloist for a performance of Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3, known as the “Organ Symphony.”

Nov. 23 – Mahler’s 3rd Symphony: For the Children

Continue this celebratory season with rare opportunity to hear Mahler’s colossal Third Symphony.

Mahler called this instrumental and choral composition “a summer’s midday dream.” Joining the orchestra for this not-to-be-missed performance will be mezzo-soprano Janna Baty.
