Called the “boiler room of the ECSO” by the New London Day for their consistent excellence in major symphonic works, The Trombones of the ECSO (TECSO) are also well-versed in arrangements and adaptations for the recital stage.

Featuring Mark Weaver, Terrence Fay, Ryan Bisson, and Wesley Mayhew, TECSO has performed recitals across the state of Connecticut. The ensemble has performed at the Fountain Music Series in Ridgefield, CT; Hop River Chamber Music Festival in Willimantic and Storrs, CT; the Mystic Aquarium; Mystic Seaport’s Arts On the Quad Series; La Grua Center in Stonington Borough; the Musical Arts Society of Branford, CT; the Wheeler Library Artist Series, and at The Universities of New Haven and Southern Connecticut State.

The ensemble’s repertoire ranges from Bach to the Beatles. A performance by TECSO takes the listener on a journey to explore the broad range of sonorities that can only be accomplished by the voices of four trombones.
