Year you joined the ECSO: 2014

Amy has a Bachelor of Music from the Hartt School in Applied Viola & Music Theory, and a Master of Music from the Hartt School in Music Theory. She is a member of the ECSO and several other CT orchestras, as well as librarian & education coordinator for the Waterbury Symphony. Amy is the upper strings mentor at Waterbury Arts Magnet School, and teaches privately at her home in Unionville. She plays in an original folk-rock band with her husband.

Favorite musical memory:Sitting on the stairs listening to my dad play guitar in the attic when my brother and I were little.

What/Who inspired you to take up your instrument:Seeing a youth orchestra on television playing Beethoven’s “Turkish March”
