ECSO - Euro-Latin Passion promo
10 Nov 2015
Join the ECSO for an evening of evocative Spanish and Italian dances. Le Carnaval Romain Overture by Hector Berlioz opens up the night with a symphonic flourish. Queen Elizabeth Prize silver medalist Aleksey Semenenko adds to the energy with a performance of Nicolo Paganini’s virtuosic Violin Concerto No. 1. Emmanuel Chabrier and Manuel de Falla both summon Spanish imagery in their respective works España and the Three-Cornered Hat Suite No. 1. The Italian flavor continues with film composer Ennio Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe, excerpted from the award-winning soundtrack of The Mission. The concert concludes with Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s dazzling dance-inspired work, Capriccio Espagnol. Purchase tickets by calling 860-443-2876 or visiting
